clickGUI Runtime Integration

clickGUI runtime integration

clickGUI is the real-time operating terminal of Chronix. It is the live interface used by traders, operators and strategy teams during active trading, monitoring and control.

It is intentionally different from Grafana.

clickGUI is for live runtime state: market data, orders, fills, balances, positions, account state, layouts, formulas, plugins, strategy controls, staged actions and operator workflows.

Grafana is for historical visibility: retained metrics, long-window investigation, dashboards, alerts, connector health, latency analysis, risk monitoring and operational analytics.

Together, they separate live action from historical analysis. clickGUI is where the desk operates in real time, while Grafana is where the desk investigates, monitors and reviews behavior over time.

clickGUI gives the client a live trading surface with:

  • multi-panel terminal layouts;
  • saved workspaces and LinkGroups;
  • market-data views, including DOM, BBO, trades, charts and feed inspection;
  • manual order entry and staged order workflows;
  • active orders, fills, balances, positions and account summary;
  • symbology and instrument selection;
  • formula, spread and derived-data views;
  • strategy and algo status with guarded controls;
  • plugin widgets and custom desk views;
  • AI-assisted workflow composition for layouts, formulas, widgets, plugins and staged actions.

This makes clickGUI more than a fixed trading terminal. It becomes a custom desk composer.

A desk can assemble the live workspace it actually needs: market-data panels, account views, formula outputs, spread monitors, algo controls, plugin widgets and staged trading workflows, all inside one real-time surface.

The AI-agent inside clickGUI is not an uncontrolled trading bot. It is a controlled operator assistant.

It can inspect the current workspace, propose layouts, wire widgets to instruments and accounts, create formulas, configure plugins, stage orders and prepare workflow changes for operator approval.

Live mutations still pass through the same guarded GUI and backend controls as manual actions. The agent can help build, inspect, preview and stage, but execution remains governed by permissions, risk hooks, approval gates and audit.

clickGUI connects to Chronix runtime APIs to provide a complete live operating surface:

  • Market Data API: books, trades, BBO, charts and feed inspection;
  • Trading API: orders, fills, positions, balances and account state;
  • Symbology API: instruments, venues, underlyings and symbol metadata;
  • Algo API: strategy status, parameters and guarded controls;
  • Telemetry API: runtime metrics, health and operational signals;
  • Workspace State: layouts, formulas, plugins, profiles and saved desk views.

Under the hood, clickGUI combines a browser shell for profiles, configuration and agent workflows with a high-performance live terminal workspace for real-time trading panels.

As a desk composer, clickGUI can help the client:

  • inspect current GUI and runtime state;
  • search and select instruments;
  • open panes and modify layouts;
  • compose custom pages for desk-specific workflows;
  • bind widgets to venue, symbol, account and data-source context;
  • create or install formulas;
  • install and configure plugins;
  • build custom widgets;
  • stage orders and trading actions;
  • prepare replay and backtest runs;
  • explain tool calls and preserve an audit trail.

The core governance rule is simple:

Agents can build, inspect, preview and stage. Live execution remains controlled by permissions, risk hooks, approval gates and audit.
